This is an experience I had when I was in my mid 30s and a lot thinner and more muscled and toned and kind of okay looking. I worked one summer at a furniture company and had an older female boss. She wasn't bad looking, but not quite my type. Anyways she made comments a lot about my body, maybe it's not flirting to say "do you work out? look at those arms. So big and strong!". "I like watching you put stuff together"... etc I don't know maybe she was just being nice
Anyways, one day she just came out and said "I hope you don't mind me asking but how old are you?" I told her flatly "Oh, I'm 34". All of a sudden she sounded disappointed as if I had ruined her "young man" fantasy". She said "Wow, I thought you were much younger, like 22 or 23". Needless to say , after I told her my age she stopped with the comments and ignored me for two months. Is that odd or what?
