Women don’t forget how to change a tire or navigate a basic spreadsheet because they’re incapable; it’s a calculated tax on male labor. They play the helpless card to bypass the effort required to exist as a functional adult. You see it every day, the same woman who can spend four hours deep diving into a guy’s Instagram following list suddenly develops a cognitive block when she has to pay a utility bill or fix a minor inconvenience.
It’s strategic incompetence at its finest. By performing ignorance, they force the man into the provider role, effectively outsourcing their own executive function to him. It’s an early stage training maneuver, once he steps in to save her from the burden of competence, he’s essentially signed up to be her personal assistant for the rest of the relationship. They aren't helpless, they’re just delegating the parts of life they find boring, using their inability as a leash to keep the man locked in a cycle of constant, unreciprocated service.
