I went to a classical music recital last year and I heard a medicore Soprano followed by a fantastic Tenor. After the performance, The girl got all the praise for her "beautiful voice " but the guy had the talent. Hardly anyone recognized him. I wonder if this is just because it's more socially acceptable, or because they are nicer to look at, but female singers will always get praises for the voice even if the guy sings better. I personally cannot tolerate the high pitched caterwauling of female pop singers.
I went up to the young Tenor and told him I thought he was the best. In the music world it's always like this. The girls get praised for their singing talent, and even if the guy is better they will say "oh yeah hes a good bass player, songwriter, etc .
