When you look down at someone shorter than you, your jaw gets less defined, your facial fat gets pulled forward, and your face isn't well-lit (assuming a light source from above), making you look recessed.
When you look up at someone taller than you, the opposite happens: your neck skin gets stretched making your jaw more chiseled, your facial fat gets compressed backward, and your face has better lighting.
Women prefer tall men. This means their preferred male partners will look down when they talk to them. Do you get it now? This acts as yet another looks filter. Women want men who look good even when they look down at shorter viewers. This really reduces the potential for recessed guys to fraud their maxillas and jawlines.
