When you look down at someone shorter than you, your jaw gets less defined, your facial fat gets pulled forward, and your face isn't well-lit (assuming a light source from above), making you look recessed.
When you look up at someone taller than you, the opposite happens: your neck skin gets stretched making your jaw more chiseled, your facial fat gets compressed backward, and your face has better lighting.
