They think power is all about selfishness and tyranny and thus the way for them to claim power is by imitating these behaviors. What they don't realize is that the other side of power is self sacrifice, compassion, honor, and resilience. Leaders are expected to be providers and protectors and if women want the same respect as the men who have traditionally been in positions of power they need to also learn how to embrace these roles. It's funny how women love to be "girlbosses" yet regard those they view as inferior with contempt. It's not men who need to "step up" its women.

Cope. Power is the ability to exert one’s will against others’ wills. In other words, a person has power when (s)he is capable of making things go his/her way at the expense of others.
