Life is pretty comfortable now. My wife and I have been out of my grandmother's house for five days. After being called for the third time the police helped my grandmother file a bogus writ of protection forcing me to leave, so that they wouldn't have to keep coming back for nothing. I got the petition dismissed the next day in court, but I'm not allowed to return to the house.

My wife is due to have our first child any minute. We've got no relatives in the region we're in, and cannot leave until the baby's born because our insurance is tied to this state. A few days after he's here we're going North though. We could still be here more for than a week.

Staying at a hotel in America is expensive. The cheapest I could find has cost us around $77 a night. The first thing I did was buy a slow cooker (crock pot) for $60, a rice cooker for $69, and 25 pounds of rice (11.34 kgs) for $40. Gotta spend money to save money sometimes. We could be here twelve more days at the most.

From my grandmother's b*stard husband I acquired this truck a little more than a month ago. Had to put $950 into fixing it right off the bat. Now it should be good until we get to where we're going. After that I'll need to get new tires and maybe think about selling it. I don't need a V8 right now. Then again it might come in handy for the future. This truck is the only mode of transportation I have, and in America you must have a vehicle. I'd rather not have to have one. I could probably get a slightly cheaper hotel but I can't risk having the truck broken into or stolen.

Anyways, we're both much more comfortable since leaving my grandmother's house. That woman's like the Wicked Witch of the West.

So we're here for now. I got food, coffee, tea, weed, and Vicodin. Not too bad of a situation to be in.

This is what happens when "The Cathedral" makes 95 percent of housing either unaffordable or unbuildable because workers don't wanna work from "The Commie Virus". Welcome to America in 2021. I feel your pain; only slightly because im stuck in an apartment instead.

She is. But we're not homeless. We live life at a different pace than most people. Money comes and goes, and houses/apartments are nothing more than boxes. We have everything we need right now.

Homelessness is lacking stable and appropriate housing. People can be categorized as homeless if they are: living on the streets; moving between temporary shelters, including houses of friends, family and emergency accommodation; living in private boarding houses without a private bathroom or security of tenure.

What's the difference between a Hotel and a motel?
Motels are generally lower class and were developed for motorists passing through the American highway system, hence the design of a parking lot being in front of the room. Now mostly crack addicts and hookers stay there because it's cheap.

Our housing is stable and appropriate.

I've lived out of motels for a little while too, but I would not agree that it's appropriate for a pregnant woman and a future baby. :lul:

She's not a spoiled American b*tch. Plus we've already lived a nomadic lifestyle together for almost 3 years. Renting apartments for three months at a time and living out of hotels. We lived alone for four months in an industrial compound as well one time when things got hot in China. She's used to it. Stuff like that doesn't phase us. We're both happy as can be. You should have seen the situation we were in four days ago.

Got none around here. I've just come back from being overseas for about 10 years. I'm not in the State where I graduated high school, and even if I was I've kept in contact with nobody in America since leaving.

Wow, that's sad, so it's just you and your wife, does she have friends, what does she think about you being without friends, how do you spend your free time without friends, don't you go to parties and stuff?

Lol, nobody in my world cares about stuff like that. We're not spineless creatures inhibited by a lack of friends and what have you. Friends, like everything else, just come and go. Why worry about a lack of them?

I've always moved through the world and gotten whatever I wanted from it without a need for validation or friends. When I have friends in my life I enjoy their company, but I've never needed them. Neither has my wife. We don't care.

Tell me a little about your friends. Are they lepers you went to high school with?

When I presented my nerdy friends to my ex-girlfriend and potentially future wife, she was like "OMG, wtf is wrong with those people?". She broke up with me after this.
Your social circle, friends and people you hang out with are crucial to the impression you make on a woman, I mean how exactly are you gonna spend your free time without friends?
Who came to your wedding? Who will come to your child's baptism? What do you do on various holidays - Christmas, New Year's Eve, your birthday, etc.?

Have you heard of Airbnb? That's usually tons cheaper than renting hotels..

If you book monthly you get huge discounts.

Baptizing children isn't scriptural. And we don't celebrate holidays. Anyways, friends will come in the future. We have no hankering for them at the moment.

You’re lucky. I’m homeless. I have a few bucks on a card but the hotel said they only accept credit cards with a name on it. Mine has no named etched onto the card. It’s this shitty card given to me by one of my former jobs. So even if I wanted to get a hotel I couldn’t. I’m stuck on the streets forever. Luckily today I was able to buy a drink from the store. I’m at the library again.

America is brutal for homelessness..

I took this pic in April when i visited Los Angeles.. I took the Flixbus from Las Vegas.. when i arrived it was tent city.. It was getting dark and i couldn't find the metro station i needed to get to my hotel.. As time went on more and more weirdos came out and some were asking me for money..

Fixin to leave the State a couple days after the baby's come. He's due in 4 days. We won't be here that long. Plus we don't have any credit cards. Haven't lived or worked in U.S.A. since 2011.

But I've got a roof. The red roof to be exact. We're staying at the Red Roof Inn.

I've been there before. Sucks, but it's easy to get out of l. Especially if you've got nobody to depend on you. Get up to Alaska for the Winter fishing season. Lot of money to be made at the fisheries. Most companies will feed, house, and fly you there and back. Try to get the supplies you migh need between now and November/December. You might need a bus ticket out to Seattle come time to go as well.

It depends on where you're at. From the other side of tge U.S. it's gonna be over $200. You can also hop freight if you know how.

Check out a company called Icicle.

I've thought about it. I don't think it'll come to that though. ER's father was a pathetic beta of a man. He never did too much to try and look after his son. My wife and I are also more international people than Mr. Rodger and his wife were. My son will grow up speaking both languages. He'll be familiar with both worlds.

This has to be better for your wife than the previous situation. Women are nervous wrecks when the kid is close

Yes, we were living under a lunatic. I could keep grandma under control whenever I was at the house. Whenever I left though she'd barge into our room and irritate the sh*t out of my wife. Sometimes she would be happy and erratic. Other times she'd be paranoid or mean. We're both much happier now.
