Filler supposedly lasts 8-9 years and just migrates rather than dissolving.

I read the NCBI article claiming filler can last 8-9 years and it just migrates to other areas rather than actually dissolving and this is shown on MRI scans. I’ve only seen two surgeons actually discuss this topic on YouTube. I know 5 people who have mentioned their filler has migrated rather than dissolved(especially in the eye area).

Afaik fillers in the midface migrate a lot since when pulled by gravity they have space to move downwards, unlike uee or chin fillers

Undereyes is an area where fillers are likely to migrate more than other areas. You can get fat grafting OR implants which are both permanent.

and no I'm not sure it's permenant tbh, someone asked their surgeon and they agreed that the results would be permenant after you reach your desired mouth width and wear a retainer for 3 months

Cost is insane for the results you get imo. Its like 20K USD (from Taban) and the results are very meh. Plus its very invasive and can be prone to infection.
1 ml of Fillers injected every year or so (some people report results lasting over a year), doesn't sound terrible.
Fillers are typically around 400-700 dollars, so cost-wise you can get 30+ years of fillers vs an implant. Plus fillers give best results imo.

In a perfect world where I know fat-grafting would be permanent I would choose that option right away
