As you may already know most oil based injectables from china are contaminated with heavy metals, debris and bacteria. This is why some people opt to buy gear from domestic UGL sources even at a 2-5x markup, but 99% of raws come from china anyways and the only difference between Chinese vendors and domestic labs is that ugls usually filter their gear before selling it but even that isn't guaranteed.
Now why should you filter your gear before use?
Filtering gear reduces contaminants and heavy metals that can accumulate in your blood, reduces PIP (Especially relevant for high concentrations and compounds like DHB and sustanon) and insures your gear is 100% sterile.
Requirements:
Micron filters (PES works for personal batches PTFE is recommended for homebrewers)
Syringes and needles (23g or lower i used a 27g my first time and it took me 20 minutes)
Alcohol wipes (no other disinfectants they can contaminate your gear)
10ml glass vials
BAC water or MCT oil (optional)
permanent marker (if running multiple compounds)
You can get all of these on amazon for ~40$
Step 1:
First you have to heat your gear up to dissolve any raw powder left and to speed up the filtration
I used a electric candle warmer from amazon but you can boil some water in a bowl, wait for it to settle and place your vials in for 5-10 minutes. Either way swirl the vials occasionally while heating to make sure everything dissolves correctly.
Step 2:
Insert a needle into the empty vial your going to fill (do not attach a syringe the needle is to let air escape while filling it) and draw your gear into a syringe, make sure the tip of the needle is only a few cm in or oil will start leaking out when you fill past it.
Step 3:
Remove the drawing needle and attach the filter onto your syringe and attach a new needle onto the filter output.
Step 4:
Insert your syringe into the vial and slowly depress the plunger. Once you push all the oil through detach the syringe from the filter and draw up 1-2mls of MCT oil or BAC water and reattach the syringe and slowly depress the plunger again, this is done to push through the last bit of oil in the filter, stop when you see mostly MCT or BAC coming through. You can also use air but it might be slightly less efficient.
You will loose a small amount of oil doing this but its really not enough to have a noticeable impact
