Fin at 17?

Im 17, my hairline is getting worse for about 5 months, im on minoxidil (topical 5%) for 3-4 months and got some results but it got worse recently so i thinking if i should hop on fin, im still in puberty( late bloomer) so wont fin close my growth plates prematurely and stop all bone growth ( facial and frame) ???

You don't want to be systemically inhibiting 5AR at 17.

Well it’s not ideal to say the least but at some point you have to weigh your options. If your norwood3 or you have thinning anywhere except your hairline or crown then you should get on it, if you’re only Norwood 2 and good density everywhere else then wait or do topical dut

It’s not that bad for your development but safe to say dht does make you look a little bit more masculine

Plus the broader hormonal consequences of blocking 5ar could be dangerous eg lower free test higher estrogens etc etc

But at the same time hair is literally one of if not the most important things for your face, and lost follicles are nearly impossible to get back
