I’m writing this because I’m done carrying dead weight in my head. What happened between us has dragged on far longer than it ever should have, and I’m tired of letting something so short-lived take up space in my life.

The truth is simple: we shouldn’t have crossed paths. We came together for the wrong reasons, at the wrong time, and it left me frustrated, drained, and questioning why I ever bothered. You weren’t honest about where you were emotionally, and I wasn’t honest with myself about what I was walking into. The result was predictable—confusion, irritation, and a connection that never should’ve started in the first place.

I won’t pretend it didn’t affect me. It did. You stuck in my mind longer than you deserved to, and that’s on me. But the longer I sit with it, the more obvious it becomes that holding onto it is pointless. Whatever spark there was burned out fast, and all that’s left is a reminder of a week that meant more to me than it should have, and far less to you than you ever said.

I’m not angry anymore—just done. Completely done. I’m closing this chapter because it’s time, and because I refuse to let something so temporary linger any further.
