my mom and i are very close and she understands my problems. it took a lot of time to get her to understand why my life has been so shit due to my looks and because her sister is a rich dr. in asia she has contacts that will be able to get me a genioplasty most likely. money is not the problem for us but she just cant get past the idea of a potential botch when i really need this right now, before i enter college, so i can experience some kind of love in my youth. ive been trying to tell her, a genio is actually a particularly low risk and common procedure but she wont let go of the idea that "what if they botch it and we need to go through revision hell?"

atp what can i tell her to calm her nerves??

Women sometimes focus on the risks and get nervous although it's safe, talk to your dad instead
