Finally got decomp start date + surgeon morph n general plan (bimax)

finally got the info from my consult I had with Walline at the end of May including the morph he made

Had my appointment w ortho last Wednesday got my scans n made my appointment to get my braces on to start decomp July 29th

I did consult w Alfi as well a month prior n he was nice n all but I def do no trust him to be MY surgeon and to operate on ME had my consult w Walline n all things considered I had no problem at all making the decision to choose him over Alfi

during my consult Walline was much more transparent and willing to discuss what he acc wanted to do w my face in terms of general movements and overall plan
He wanted to fix my assymetry w roll and yaw movements of both my jaws advance them both as well to fix recession n the mandible more for my overbite he wanted to downgraft for my sfs n then he said possible downward genio w some movements on my chin to help more symmetry n prolly some cw rotation depending on how things start to look after decomp

I totally agree w Eveything he said and to me his plan was everything I wanted I brought up some points made by the goat @lurking truecel and he agreed entirely overall the consult went super well and I trust him completely super excited to move forward with him

Idk bro honestly it looks alright. Good teeth show and the skeletal relation looks class 1. You sure you need it?

My tooth show when I smile isn’t bad cuz idk I guess just learned to smile hard asf to show my teeth but when relaxed or simply talkin I have so little upper tooth show and in terms of occlusion my teeth have just compensated for it

I don’t ‘need’ it but I’m in the position to get it I have lots of problems with my jaws and lower third aestheticly and some function too not tons but still enough for it to be a factor I just really don’t like how I look n most of the issues if not all r from an accident I had when I was a really young and if this surgery can significantly fix those things I’d be happy

N also the fact that I think I will ascend significantly due to my case meeting the 5/5 reqs for huge bimax ascension as outlined by LT is another reason maybe I don’t ‘need’ it but I think it will make me look significantly better so

U make good points tho I honestly didn’t even think I had overbite cuz for me it feels hard for my teeth to fit tg like it’s tight to bite down so I was like wtf do I have underbite or smt lol but apparently it’s jus cuz my bite is assymetrical n for my tooth show I think I jus learned to smile hard asf

your teeth show is good and what actually post op strives towards. You can see that famous alfaro sfs case and his teeth show post op is like yours or even less. I would really be afraid of ruining it.
I understand you might be dissatisfied with how you look but it doesn't mean you should dash headlong into a bimax if you don't actually need it and might potentially even get worse.
You risk getting a gummy smile, risk getting a class 3 jaw. Some surgeons just do whatever to make money. But i objectively don't see a strong case for a bimax here.
If you have a shortish lower third it doesn't mean you have a sfs.
