Its obviously a big factor in how you look, and being bald is largely, except in some rare cases, a definitive negative. The issue is that many people on this site view hair as a "make or break it" kinda thing where good looking people suddently become unattractive because they are bald. Thats what I'm saying is wrong. Ugly with hair = ugly bald, GL with hair = GL bald. In both cases, bald is worse than with hair.
When you speak about your hairline, you're saying that its not just the temples receding but the whole hairline? Ljungberg, although old now, is completely bald and razor shaves.
The difference isn't that big. But its all about the bones.
Of course, the closer to average one is, the worse hair loss is. So if someone is slap bang average, it understandibly feels really bad to lose their hair. But the reality is that the person in question wouldn't really have any huge drop in overall SMV unless very young. Its mostly in their head.
