So there’s a girl in my Texas government class who caught my attention. During lecture we kept making eye contact, and I honestly can’t tell if it was interest or just coincidence. She’s attractive, but I sit clear across the room which makes approaching feel awkward as hell.
I want to talk to her, but I’m nervous about coming off weird or forced since we don’t sit near each other. She usually sits with a friend, so I’ve thought about maybe starting a casual convo with the friend first as a way in, but I don’t know if that’s the right move or just overthinking.
For those of you who’ve dealt with this:
Is it better to just walk up directly after class?
Should I wait for another opportunity (group work, discussion, etc.)?
Or is approaching her friend first a bad idea?
Looking for honest advice on how to handle this without making it awkward.
