Adapalene is so shit it’s useless it dries out your skin just as much as taz and tret and works so much less.

That makes no sense. Its weaker so how would it in any way be as irritating/drying?

“Weaker” does NOT mean less drying — it means less biologically aggressive, not less disruptive to the skin barrier. All retinoids speed up cell turnover, which increases water loss. Dryness comes from barrier disruption, not just strength. Adapalene still alters keratinization, reduces corneocyte cohesion, and thins the stratum corneum early on, which causes the dryness all retinoids bring to the skin. All topical retinoids dry out your skin, and the best option is to go for more affective non-OTC actives, like tret or taz, which most normies don’t, due to them being non-OTC, even when it’s very easy to obtain and sometimes even cheaper than the OTC adapalane and such they buy. (Yes, the tret and taz IS slightly more drying, but adapalene is just totally not worth it for the amount of dryness your already experiencing with minimal affects from adapalene of all concentrations)

Damn, holy high iq response.
But yeah i honestly thought the barrier disruption was way less with adapalene, and i already have quite sensitive skin.

And availability was definitely a big part of the reason i decided to start with adapalene aswell, cuz im a complete rookie when it comes to buying things illegally online, and i have absolutely no exprerience with that, and no idea how to approach it.

But yeah imma finish this tube first, and then try to figure out how to get my hands on probably either tret or isotret

it works just takes time about 2-3 months for me but it’s pretty good if you don’t want to do with the hassle of a prescription and possibly getting scammed online
