FIRST JOB INTERVIEW AT 18, HELP PLEASE

I'm Andrew, 18 years old and a 12th grade IT student

Thanks to the system of the high school I'm in right now we'll be working at a tech company alongside our studies once a week to get work experiment and some money, but it's mostly for a more effective way of studying and to apply our skill what we learnt in school in a real environment with possible future colleagues.

We had an online hackathon type of competition where ~40 students around my age and the same grade I'm in (12th) had to solve 4 python tasks and send it back before a submission date. 16 out of ~40 was selected (including me) for the second round of selection. 3 groups: 2x5 and 1x6

We (my group contains 4 other people and me) have to attend a 45 minute chat with the colleagues we'll be working with about the projects we'll have to work on.
During the period we'll be staying at the company next year (Nokia is my case, they have a site in my city) given by the project leaders at Nokia and I think they want to see our reactions on those projects and get to know us personally so they choose the right men for the team (3 out of 5 or 6 will be selected for the position)

Now I have me, 2 classmates of mine, 1 person I know because we attend the same IT classes and 1 other guy from 12th grade. 1+2+1+1 = 5.
The problem is, that 2 of my classmates will be selected I think (they are a little better than me in IT but they are more ND and less of an extrovert personality) so I already expect them to be selected, this lefts us with only 1 open "seat".

Now I don't know much about the 2 other guys and how they solved the tasks (probably with AI, I also used it for some cases but I wrote 80% of the code) but I expect them to be less friendly than me . I'll be consciously talk more with my classmates and leave them to be so they feel more stressful if they have to talk to each other, but I also don't wanna avoid them so they (at Nokia) won't think I'm not a team player. IDK if we'll get any technical questions about Python or anything else, I expect a little but it'll revolve around our personalities rather than our skills this time I think.

Please give me tips about how to handle possible stress and anxiety and share your original experiences (if you have) about what should I do, how friendly should I be to my classmates, the future colleagues and the 2 other guy. I don't wanna larp too much so it's clear that I act differently than usual, but also don't wanna let this opportunity slip out of my hands just because two random niggas solved it too and are more friendly and enjoyable to be around than me

I'll be wearing a full black outfit (sweater + suit trousers) with a nice cologne so It's a little bit more formal than casual but nothing crazy too

I think that the best thing you could do is just be as personable as possible. As long as the guy interviewing you isn’t nd, just being normal is gonna hugely set you apart. Also try to find their hobbies/interests if possible. Nokia already knows you guys can code basic Python or use AI because you passed the first round. This 45 minute group chat is literally just a vibe check to see who is a normal, adjusted human being and who is a weirdo they are gonna hate sitting next to for eight hours a day.

Your two classmates being more ND and less extroverted means you have already won if you play your cards right. Corporate tech leads are surrounded by awkward, silent nerds all day. They are literally starving to hire a guy who can just smile, speak clearly, and look them in the eye without sweating. Larp, why should you give a fuck if you look and sound completely different than what you usually do. This is something new with people that don't know you at all besides the classmates you mentioned but I've been in the situation a couple of times when it came to competing for internships. A majority of the time I had no clue what I was talking about or gave a fuck but I wanted the job and the money so I told them what they wanted to hear. Honestly just do your research on the company, they're probably going to ask you a lot of questions about yourself and what you would do in certain situations regarding IT.

Look into who’s leading whatever project you were working on, and find the middle manager positions on LinkedIn. Could also be someone from hr, and that’ll be harder but still doable to do your due diligence on LinkedIn. If u got an email scheduling the time and place for the interview, research them.

unless there's a strict dresscode don't go all black, you'll look depressed af

the shoes you wear are very important-shit like nike or adidas will be stupid to wear, go for oxford shoes(if you're keeping the current fit) or go for some more formal looking trainers like the ralph lauren or armani ones

I also have a wool white sweater and a regular slim jean (blue) which could look alright with my current daily shoe
I think I'll go with the full black outfit (I know it's against your advice) because I look good in it I think, I feel basic and safe in it and that way it won't attract their attentions and will only listen to me instead of looking at my clothes and fit. Pasted an image found in my galery where I wear it, my jeans and trousers usually cover most part of it so they can only see that striking logo, 90 number and the black laces

Update:
Went to the interview today. First they made us sign some papers that we don't share any secrets we see or hear about the projects and what they're working on and we couldn't take any pictures, we got a guest access card and went to a meeting room where we meet 4 other people (1 HR, 3 Project leaders). The 45 minute talk was like this:

They congratulated first and then gave us an A4 paper that proves we went to a meeting at their company so we can proudly flex with it in our CV (lol). Then they introduced one by one: what's their name, how long they have been working at this company, what project they are leading and the languages and frameworks they use currently.

Then they asked us to introduce ourselves too, give us some info about our private life, where and when we got introduced to programming, what we learnt in school already, what projects we do at home besides studies, and how much we know each other. This was followed by a logical question for what we had like 5-8 minutes to think about and try to solve it, we were sharing our thoughts about it loudly and failed to give the best answer, but one of the mentors/project leaders said my answer was pretty close to the final one.

THEN I was told by one of the mates I'm competing with for the job that he won't accept if he gets accepted because he wants to work with his mate he used to be teammates in projects at a different company, jfl at this idiot

So out of 5 people, 1 is already out by his own choice, and 3 will be selected from the remaining 4. I think I'll be selected with my 2 other mates I know because we go to the same classes and had known each other for like 4 years now and the 4th motherfucker literally said he doesn't know anyone from the group and he talked the least during the group interview .

Will get the results in about a week. I'm excited and optimistic af, would be PRETTY surprised at a rejection after how much I yapped my ass out, I think I made a good image for myself AND my 2 other mates when I mentioned my friend relationships with them
