About to have my first shift at a grocery store
When you guys had your first shift were you nervous? How did you keep calm? How did you talk to customers well?

haha i had this same experience a month ago

yes youre gonna be nervous for the first few days or even week, anyone would be

overtime you get used to it and enter a flow state every shift with ur work, being calm and the way you talk to customers. it becomes muscle memory and you do it automatically

at any job you work, learn, ask questions and speak to your colleagues. do not isolate yourself and dont be a smartass. never talk shit about anyone at work, a strong majority of coworkers will use whatever you say to them against you they're all fucking snitches
