TLDR; Posting thoughts I have, first thought: You must keep trying, no matter how bleak things may seem.
Hopefully other people find this interesting and decide to interact.
Mostly just going to be philosophical thoughts (my previous area of study at university)
As title says, first thread here (first thread on any forum actually), so apologies if I don't fit the bill when it comes to regular etiquette.
I will be replying to this thread whenever I have something that I want to say that I feel / hope others find interesting.
Thought of the day: You must keep trying despite how bleak things may seem.
This thought is just something that crosses my mind ever so often.
I find myself going through phases of being strictly adhered to self improvement, and then phases of losing my feet and falling back into bad habits. It's a shame that this is how it goes, and I am trying to break the cycle, but so far the cycle ultimately wins.
I only joined this forum yesterday, and I feel like this is a good way to try and break the cycle as it gives me an (albeit currently miniscule) sense of responsibility to keep myself in check.
I suppose my main goal of posting this specific thought first is to sort of gauge / find others who find themselves in the same position as me; Perhaps we can all help each other in this specific situation. As far as I have gathered, the main point of this website is for us to help each other get better, so I find it fitting to post about a more specific type of situation that I find myself in.
Regardless, as stated above: You must keep trying despite how bleak things may seem. The world is not particularly improving by any means, and it is easy to feel that there is no point in trying to improve. But, I feel like there is still a necessity for us to try to improve regardless, because if you do not try to improve, you will not improve. It's sad that this is the way it has to be, but ultimately we must adapt.
Hope this finds who it is meant to find, and thanks for reading
