Hello and welcome to my mini guide (for whom it may apply to) on how your fucked up spine may be limiting entire cm's of height.
Anterior Pelvic Tilt is when your pelvis tips forward, causing the spine to overarch and the upper portion of your body to lean. This can shorten your standing height up to 2cm and more for certain individuals depending on severity while making your gut stick out, ass more pronounced, and give you a shittier looking physique.
Kyphosis is another term for hunchback, in which your upper spine rounds and compresses height making you look much shorter than APT can.
Both of these spinal issues, among many other less irrelevant ones to this topic are affected by your sleeping position such as: curling up, stomach to the ground, or side sleeping. These positions compress your spine throughout the entire night and you should ONLY be sleeping on your back, ideally with little head rest unless to keep it level with the rest of the spine. Another issue is sitting and lifting incorrectly for my warehouse/gymcels out there which is when your discs get squashed and posture worsens overtime affecting height.
Why does this matter? We're looksmaxxing here fellas, every little bit adds up and counts to an overall outcome of your perceived appearance. Do it or don't, fixing these issues will contribute to your stats, even if minorly to a certain extent. Personally I've found it a huge relief after finally fixing my fucked up pelvic tilt which was causing me to lose about 2.5 cm of height alone on top of thinking I was constantly bloated within my midsection despite having been 11% bf at the time. It's also great for relieving lower back pain.
TLDR: Back spinal posture, not just forcing your shoulders back and chest out can and most certainly WILL affect your height, physique, and confidence.
