so a lot of you guys come on here asking how to fade your PIE/PIH and get nicer higher collagen skin. there are many ways, some more effective than this one but by far the cheapest and fastest way is through injectable vitamin c. now, obviously vitamin c has a lot of benefits when it comes to skin, but unfortunately oral vitamin c isn't absorbed well (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15068981/), so if you want to see actual benefits of vitamin c for your skin, you need to be injecting it. fortunately, its flexible such that you can inject it either subq, IM, or IV, and you can get 10 vials of 10g for under $40. all you need is ~1 g weekly, so per week you are only spending ~$0.40 to inject, though be warned it might burn a bit to inject

different purposes

one is for texture the other is for hyperpigmentation/skin tone. while the extra collagen stimulation can help with texture it will take a very long time

here is one i found specifically on IV treatment for pigmentation https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2645136/

you can probably find more studies that come out of korea on vitamin c injections as that is where those treatments are most popular

it's more like injectable vitamin c amplifies the benefits of oral vitamin c and gives them quicker because you get around the bioavailability issue. the only difference in the benefits of injectable is that you could actually get melanin reduction effect of vit c at higher doses. also people say its good for energy, which i dont think oral vitamin c does

liposomal vitamin c also exists but i still think the extra bioavailability compared to normal oral vit c is meh

it appears that intravenous vitamin C in a moderate dose did offer a significant benefit in this patient.

yes, but the glutax products I've linked you in DMs are 10 times better than this, in fact, almost all of them contain l ascorbic acid as well, but also glutathione or other skin whitening products

Will Microneedling vitamin c do the same thing?

Have u noticed any results with it?

How many injections per week?
Meh kinda my redness keeps going down every week. I’m doing a lot so it’s hard to isolate. I’ll be able to see for sure in 8 weeks ig after a full collagen cycle

500 mg EOD

I was thinking the best way to get rid of PIE would be Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL / Vbeam), literally 2 sessions and u should be good, what are u using to treat PIE rn?
Ive bought 10% azelaic acid might buy a stronger one in the future

using topical and oral tranexamic acid mainly + vitamin c injections. the thing is my PIE isn't very bad it's the lightest shit ever it's just that it flares up sometimes, especially now on test, though i do believe azaleic acid is the best treatment i just dont feel like ordering outside of amazon to get 10%

i did PDL before but the PIE came back. rosacea which is similar in natural is notably also very hard to get rid of so i wouldn't feel too bad about not seeing results quickly or easily

Thats great, is it perma? Like if I stop using it will it have a rebound effecf
i did PDL before but the PIE came back.
goddamn wtf, PDL seems like the strongest and best treatment ever how did it come back, maybe because u got acne again? Or did it just came back to what it was?
rosacea which is similar in natural is notably also very hard to get rid of so i wouldn't feel too bad about not seeing results quickly or easily
I dont have that much rosacea I think, and yeah PIE is a bitch

Yeah I think so it’s only been 3 weeks but I’ve gotten some nice improvement. Studies have shown it helps with both pie and pih/melasma and even rosacea too (for oral). Topical is okay I like it because it doesn’t irritate me at all so I can use it on accutane

The flare ups aren’t rebound I’m messing with too many vasodilators and my histamine levels are fucked from some peptides that’s why it happens

I got new acne yeah but many old marks returned too. This was over a year ago tho but they still flare up to a noticeable extent like they were but like 95% of my day I’m good it’s only after doing what I mentioned before

Same mechanism I think between pie and rosacea or very similar so both are very difficult to get rid of

Should I wait until all my acne is 100% gone cuz I used to have a full face now it’s pretty much all gone but like 1 or 2 pimples that just pop up like annoying little roaches

Damn thats nice Ill start taking it orally then, how much do u take?

Why doing u use an antihistamine?

I had no idea acne marks could return back holy fuck, maybe the treatment should be done once a year?

Over for us
500 mg daily, ideally split into 250 mg 2x per day

my problem isn't entirely histamine related though i do take one pill here and there. i mean when i started test i had the worst flaring ever it's partially due to inflammation

of course they can because they are caused by bursted blood vessels or capillaries. if it doesn't heal properly bc of stuff like uv exposure they will just return. they returned once i started microneedling again tho (again this was all a yr ago) and i never wore any sunscreen so maybe thats why. i think UV exposure is the #1 reason i still have it because i'm still too lazy to wear sunscreen. at most i do oral sunscreen which is SPF 7 at best

its never over :feelswah:

Shit I though tanning hard would hide the scars better, instead it will make it worse, whats the idea then tho? No UV exposure till it fully heals from the PDL?

yeah i got a source

idk but that's what my understanding is that UV prolongs PIE/PIH which has been the case for me, so yeah minimal UV or sunscreen until they heal
