Columella graft/filler is a solution to correct a long philtrum by lengthening the nose.


Useful when the long philtrum is caused by a short nose rather than thin lips, as a lip lift would just look weird. Would also help balance facial thirds as it makes the lower third less overpowering and middle third less compressed.

My philtrum is long due to the aformentioned issue

If you have thin lips that would work

but if you don't it will just look weird

this procedure would also balance out facial thirds, as when the long philtrum is caused by a short nose, that short nose would also throw off facial thirds

this would prolly be better for Me bcuz my upper lip is thinner than botom by a decent amount

but i still need infraorbital saddled rim implants or fat transfer under eyes, under eyelid retraction and jaw implants first

It all depends on your starting base, there is no one size fits all

Nose should Ideally be around 75% of the midface length

You could also check facial thirds, if you have a compressed middle third and an overpowering lower third, it may be due to an overly short nose if you don't have a really dominant lower third

Unless you have an overly thin upper lip, I wouldn't go for a lip lift, which I am assuming you don't

mine is already scheduled in a month.
i do have a short nose but my upper lip is also non existent. either way i would much rather have a fuller upper lip and keep the nose as it is, as that creates a more youthful look.

90% of people on here who talk about lip lifts dont need them honestly

but if your philtrum is actually very long then lip ratio is almost irrelevant

To be honest, my philtrum was worse than anyone's a year ago, thank god i grew up and it somehow fixed overtime.

My chin, on the other hand, is already hyper feninine round and a little recessed so i could potentially even out my chin to philtrum ratio and profit from some more chin projection too with implants. Problem is my face is pretty long and it looks uncanny if not done perfectly well.

Just too young at the moment to worry about this though, i'll see once i'm completely done growing...

What nose size would be ideal for my face, Im thinking of a subnasal liplift, my lips are mediu sized so It would slightly up my upper lip and set my nose slower

I have the opposite problem

I have full lips and an average sized nose( not short) and my philtrum is long( 17mm) it used to be 19mm and now it has improved slightly because my maxilla got better, idk what to do tho, I want it to be 13-14mm and I dont think it will reach that naturally
