Projected maxilla = flat chin.

Just look at black people compared to white people

A chin is simply just a jaw growing forward and the dental arch staying behind trapped behind the maxilla

Maxilla doesnt really have to do anything with chin, unless youre talking about overprojected ones where the mandible (bite) is forced to move the same way making it appear flatter but thats not a common case

Black people have receding chins simply because of their enormously protrusive lower lips, pushing the chin muscle upward thereforce flattening out the mental crease

It absolutely does. The growth of the chin is indistinguishable the growth of the mandible apart from one key feature where the bone resorbs at point B.

What creatures the chin is the mandible growing forward and the bite essentially moving back and the bone between the chin and teeth resorbing.

Black people have less of a pogonion (chin) for the simple fact that their maxilla allows the jaw to exhaust its growth before it can only continue as a chin.

Case and point class 2 division 2 malocculsion. This is where upper teeth lean back trapping the mandible from growing forward and the jaw growth can only then continue as a very prominent pointy chin

thats just not true, for that case scenario each would have to be an underbite, applying constant force onto the upper teeth in order to have any sort of change in the maxillary region.

Referring specifically for you claiming the growth of the mandible having an impact on the maxilla moving backwards

If the mandible would move at the same rate why would that create a receding chin all of a sudden

there is no such thing as trapping the jaw, trapping it from what exactly. There is no physical wall trapping the mandible. And the Chin is a part of the mandible as well so your argument fails there too

Never meant that the mandible made the maxilla move back. The maxilla is genetically locked to sit farther back in white people.

The lower jaw simply has to accomedate this position

Okay. How does the chin grow and what is its purpose?

If you think it grows primarily via periosteal aposition youd be incorrect

It varies, 100% doesnt exist in human biology

Chin = mandible, the projection doesnt have a purpose, same as with ear lobes. Just a regular body part

dental arch staying behind trapped behind the maxilla
?

wdym by " has to " all types of bites exist for example

True. But im speaking in averages.

I believe that white people having pointy chins and flatter maxillas is no coincidence

I agree. Its growth is no different to the mandible.

And it occurs because the mandible didnt shrink as much as our faces during evolution. So what stayed behind of the longer mandible was the chin.

When someone has a more projected midface the chin essentially gets eaten back up again in many cases
I said what I said.

Youre correct. Those bites represent failure in development.

My statement is under the premise of ideal development which occurs 99% of the time under ideal conditions.

Under ideal conditions a strong chin is formed and bite stays class i.

Under poor conditions it turns in to an underbite
