hey, i had my lower jaw and chin surgery done exactly 2 weeks ago. the majority of the swelling has gone down. the swelling that still is there is the same type u'd get from a high sodium diet so nothing out of proportion.
i think by bringing my lower jaw and chin forward, it made my midface look more flat. i never had a problem with my midface in the past. yesterday i visited some family and some said it looked like i have an underbite now or that it looks like my jaw was moved forward too much, which objectively is incorrect. my teeth align as they should now and my side profile looks better.

it's mainly in 2/3 that i notice an issue. although in side profile my under eye support seems to be lacking as well.
i don't feel comfortable sharing my own photos on here but i'll share some pics that i found of other people with similar issues to hopefully get some more insight.

i know it's a foid but old fka twigs seems to have my exact issue where the undereye/cheekbone area seems to lack projection compared to the jaw. my cheeks are more chubby however so my cheekbone doesn't create shadow like hers in the side profile pic.

in the attached file is a smiling man. my cheeks protrude similarly when smiling. it's all soft tissue though. i think this is an ethnic feature cuz i've only seen it on the black side of my family.

please help, you are more genius than me

A flat profile is better than a convex one. Maybe your maxilla isnt forward enough but literally 99% of humanity has the same issue, test your convexities and lip assesments thats all that matters

thx man. my profile is pretty straight now. only my nasion isn't straightly aligned with my lower face, it dips in and my forehead is also positioned behind the straight line of my lower face (so exactly like the fka twigs side profile photo). but that's not bad, i think. jordan barrett has the same thing going on.

about lip assesments, do you mean the line from the nose to the chin that your lips shouldn't touch? mine do touch, but i'm not white so I think it's an ethnic trait. maybe bimaxillary protrusion?

Its easier if you send me the side in private. Its just a little hard to understand I think your talking about the nasofrontal angle which would be a good thing but Im not sure just send me in pm
