I’ve seen a lot of outrage over Flock cameras, and honestly, I find it hilarious.

Everyone has a phone that is actively tracking their location through LTE, Snapchat Maps, Apple Maps, Life360, and countless other apps. Even streaming services can track your location to make sure you’re actually watching from home. On top of that, people have Alexas sitting in their homes listening for commands, and they use online voice chats that are monitored and recorded.

So my question is: why is everyone so angry about these stationary cameras when we’re already being tracked, monitored, and listened to 24/7?

Hell, the average toxic gamer can probably dig through your online information and figure out your exact location.

I’m not saying privacy shouldn’t matter, but it seems pretty hypocritical to draw the line at a camera on a pole when most people willingly carry a tracking device in their pocket everywhere they go.

I agree I think the main issue is when there’s a new feature the gov comes out with that’s the new craze people talk about soon people will forget theres a surveillance on them 24/7

I know, right, and it is almost like people forget they carry a device with them 24/7 that is constantly tracked by a satellite lol
