One of the most potent synthetic androgens ever developed.
8-19x more androgenic than Testosterone and about 3-5x stronger than Trenbolone.
It works by binding to androgen receptors in bone cells just like any other androgen. It strengthens cortical and trabecular bone by activating osteoblasts, promoting bone density and remodelling but 10-20x.
This makes it way more ideal past puberty at around 18-15 leading to far more dramatic effects on bone remodelling since the bone tissue start responding weaker to androgens.
Interestingly unlike other androgens, using halotestin has been shown to increase linear growth (height).
According to a study using 2.5mg daily for kids with delayed puberty up to 5 years straight increased their growth rate up to 1.7-2.5x above their baseline so their final adult height exceeded predictions by about 5-6cm.
So halotestin will help with facial masculinisation and may even help with height growth. According to clinical studies, the risk of premature growth plate is very low when used at low doses (2.5mg/day) making it the most ideal compound.
If its used carefully at a low dose (2.5-10mg), the sides are manageable and not much different from any other androgen. Since its literally been used as a medication for kids this shows it can potentially be used safely. The side effects are still real and can be serious like a liver tumour if overused.
Side effects include hepatotoxicity, cardiovascular strain, fertility issues and prostate issues.
