TLDR: I'm a subhuman and a Filipina girl
who I've never talked to before but is in two of my classes, strikes up a convo with me in the elevator and then asks for my insta and we walk to class, despite me being awkward the entire time aswell. Why?? And what do I do?
This happened at my uni today. I had just finished my discrete mathematics class and I had Calculus on the 5th floor right after and so I rushed to the elevator and hopped in.
I pressed the button for floor 5 when suddenly an Asian foid (Filipino I believe) got in right behind me and so out of courtesy I asked "what floor?" as I was standing right next to the controls, and she said she was also going to floor 5.
I just said "oh okay" and then she asked me if I was also heading to calculus to which I replied that yeah I am. I got hella nervous because I was not mentally prepared for a conversation at the moment since I was jus tryna get to class.
And then she said that she saw me in our lecture hall for discrete math aswell and that we were in the same class and I was like "oh wow really? That's cool" And then she asked me what major I was doing (I'm doing comp sci) and she replied that she's doing the same.
We then talked for a bit about school while walking to class and then she asked for my socials. I was like "oh like do you want my snap?" She replied that she didn't have snap but she has insta.
I was like okay sure and I opened instagram and was about to ask for her user but she took my phone from her hands and searched up her user and followed it.
We then got to class and she asked me where I sat, and I told her that I sat in the middle of the classroom. She said that she was going to sit at the front (where she usually sits) and so I sat alone in the middle and she sat alone at the front.
Once class was over, I practically ran out of class because I didn't want her talking to me since I wasn't in the mood for it at all.
Once I got home from uni I checked to see if she had accepted my request and followed me back and she had. I was thinking that perhaps she was just tryna farm followers or something but that doesn't seem to be the case since she doesn't have any posts nor does she have many followers. (She only has 108, same as me)
Can anyone please explain what the meaning behind all this is? I doubt she finds me attractive since I'm subhuman and tbh I'm fine with that since I don't think I'm mentally well enough to date right now.
I do definitely need friends though since I literally have made none this semester and I legit don't care who/what they are. I'd befriend a guy, girl, tranny, fag, furry, literally anyone jfl. So im wondering if it's worth talking to her to try and make a friend
