women aren’t “the original looksmaxxers” that sentiment possesses off, because if you’re referring to makeup, that was being done by European aristocratic men far before women and even if you assume makeup is made by and for women, painting your face isn’t the same thing in the slightest as the goals and methods some people do for “looksmaxxing”
