this is the major problem with being too self-aware when other people are around due to stress.
i saw these 2 foids (both in my class, keep in mind) walking around asking random people for a phone charger.
i was looking at them with my peripheral vision, and seat by seat, they asked everyone if they could provide one.
it wasn't until they came up to my chair that they skipped it and continued asking everyone else in the class.
only after finishing the full room did i see them biting their nails and chatting whilst glancing at me like i was deformed.
they both hesitated then finally came and, of course, i didn't have one and just told them "no, sorry", but that's not the problem.
if that’s truly how unapproachable i am, i physically see no point in trying anymore.
