While it is true most men don't have much depth I don't think it's honest to say they are equal to women in superficiality. Women are much more intellectually uncurious. I think it's because men, being judged by their utility, even when they don't personally relate to the conversation, can respect the general utility of new information or at least the utility of knowing someone who has a lot of information, even if obscure. Women on the other hand have no respect for non personally relevant information because they aren't judged by their utility and so are more likely to see obscure information as purely a waste of time.

Yeah I don't mean to suggest either gender is particularly interested in abstract or deep conversations but from my experience men are more willing to listen to potentially useful information even when not immediately relevant. Just reflecting, throughout my life when I can recall talking about complex things with non complex people, it is usually a man I'm doing it with. It's gotten to the point I don't really try and have these conversations with women because I know they will generally just not care, will have nothing to add or even when they appear interested will usually just be feigning interest to be polite because they like me. This has been true for chicks I've met at all levels of intelligence from the ghetto hoodrat to the Ivy League graduate. The latter is even more surprising because often speaking to these women you will find although they have the intellectual credentials, they often don't seem to have any real intellectual interests (or their intellectual interests all converge on social justice topics, which imo aren't actually very intellectual.)

I can recall on one hand the times I've felt intellectually mogged by a woman and even on those occasions it was a result of them simply having more information on the topic at hand. Being that I fucked off during my time at school I can't even be sure they were actually operating with more raw brainpower or if they had simply acquired more knowledge throughout their life by taking school more seriously.

Yeah, it is definitely fun, needs a lot of theory and we build them from scratch, i could send you the results for now. Its very intriguing to the point where i was automatically thinking how things i see in my home or wherever could help us improve the rocket and it helped lol, figured out we could use cement powder + water as a nozzle without even letting the cement paste dry because the intense burning from the motor solidifies it as it burns
