my friend was talking to me the other day saying how he was once part of a big friend group that was on the top of the food chain, I was apart of that freshmen year, but then everyone left, thing is he had another group to go to and I didn't, so ive spent the last 2 years with no group, just a friend, and recently he got a girlfriend so he joined her group, and at a sports banquet the other day he sat down with me, just the two of us on the curb, and he goes to me "bro ive gone from like the top of the foodchain to the bottom" i found it funny because all ive known is the bottom of the foodchain and I told him "so you understand what ive felt like for the last 2 years?" and he just laughes it off, come on bro, im struggling over here, but ig waht happens happens

Sometimes they can be fun if everybody is on the same vibe but still they usually just end up as performance stages for that one extroverted alpha guy or girl, and if there isnt any of that in the group it gets broken down in smaller 2-3 ppl groups chatting amongst themselves
