SPB Medical Discovery Institute – Scientists from Sanford Burnham Prebys have created natural-looking hair that grows through the skin using human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), a major scientific achievement that could revolutionize the hair growth industry.

“Our new protocol described today overcomes key technological challenges that kept our discovery from real-world use. Now we have a robust, highly controlled method for generating natural-looking hair that grows through the skin using an unlimited source of human iPSC-derived dermal papilla cells. This is a critical breakthrough in the development of cell-based hair-loss therapies and the regenerative medicine field.”

Since the US FDA's approval is required, the mandatory three stages will have to be done first. This means, assuming the approach is right and validated, the treatment will be available to all not before 2024-5
Lifefuel tbh

When is it coming out?

Tbh the best thing for men is to spot the hair loss early, use whatever drugs necessary to slow down the hairloss and get a hair transplant when it's actually needed.

Yes that's why I got a HT despite not suffering severe balding (even the docs complimented my hair for my age)

1.5-2 I'd say. One temple was kinda bald and the other was receding, the front was thinning. That's why I got a transplant on the sides and dense packing on the front.

Samumed have had a pretty good solution since 2017 but they're not releasing it for the time being anyways. Idk if or when it'll be released. They obviously want to cash in big on it. Their solution stops balding and starts regrowth in people with the MPB gene but the longterm effects are unknown.

yeah no thanks if it's gonna come out in 2069
