True!

Here’s a based r NEET post I think about a lot. My dream life:

I Aspire To Do Nothing, Perpetually
Any and all enthusiasm that I have, ultimately revolves around the perpetuation of a lifestyle where I deliberately maintain as close of an existence wherein I -- practically/productively speaking -- do as close to nothing as possible, minimizing any and all "responsibilities" or obligations that interfere with my personal autonomy to any great length I deem unsatisfactory to achieve that one goal.

Co-workers have often asked me during periods where I was working my minimum wage warehouse job "So, what's your dream job?" or "Where do you see yourself in 5, 10, 20 etc.. years?"

To which I looked back at them completely stumped by such questions. "Dream job? The fuck?" were the first thoughts that immediately came to mind. I couldn't believe it. People actually dream of work?

Of course, I had some generic responses aside from telling them the truth (to DO nothing and just BE).

These answers I spoon fed to my co-workers were based on turning one of my hobbies (depending on the day I was asked) at the time into a lucrative career of some sort. Of course, on a subconscious level I was just trying to appease them to avoid further conversation or them questioning me, if I said something too "unorthodox." I was always very averse to risking argumentative conversation and wanted to keep any interactions to a minimum.

Then I started to think more deeply and extensively about the questions I was asked long after the fact, and the thought of dedicating my life to a hobby - any hobby - even if I was obsessed with it, for 40+ hours a week for the entirety of my life just made me very depressed.

So at that point, in an attempt for my brain to soothe me, would just envision myself living the same life I've lived ever since I dropped out of special Ed High-School in the 9th grade in 2014 when I was at my breaking point. These 10 years of being out of school and -- for the most part -- unemployed have been the best years of my life, hands down (granted, I know am very privileged in that I have a very accepting, upper middle-class family with unwavering patience and support of me).

There are also extensive periods where I was out of school throughout my childhood (resulting in me being held back a few grades) due to developmental delays/learning disabilities. For a bit of context, I suffered with complete brain anoxia at birth (strangulation via umbilical cord), resulting in me being hospitalized and hooked to machines for the first 2 months of life. I was told that my birth was not a pretty sight; I was a "blue baby" and presumably barely conscious (I wasn't crying).

Throughout my childhood, I saw my fair share of counselors, psychologists, therapists, -- you name it -- and some diagnosed me with autism, others ADHD, others both simultaneously, while others after re-evaluating me, rejected those diagnostic impressions, stating that they didn't see any of the typical indications of autism or ADHD (stating that I was very coordinated, athletic and could articulate myself adequately), and hadn't the slightest clue what the fuck was wrong with me and just basically told my parents I was simply mentally retarded or borderline intellectually functioning. Others were stumped and just said I was "unique" and " just had unique logic and perceptions of making sense of the world", insisting that I was not stupid, and had no other label or diagnosis to throw my way.

Needless to say, I struggled academically in all facets (especially math). Having said that, even though I hated school, I actually did try my best most of the time; I wasn't a rebellious delinquent or trouble maker. At worst, I just exhibited odd behaviors, mannerisms, making up my own languages and talking to myself in them, and no one wanted to be associated with my presence, which was fine with me. I didn't fit in with anyone else so it worked both ways.

But I was a good, well-mannered, peaceful, respectful kid in that regard. I respected, was kind and accepting to everyone: students and teachers alike. However due to my struggle academically and being bottom of my class, I was pulled out of all my schools as my parents were desperate to find suitable education for me. It just never worked out. I never fit into any of the structure, routine, and demands of the education system. I could not focus and follow directions whatsoever, despite my best efforts in trying to follow and understand them.

Of course, I also just flat-out loathed any school I was forced to attend and hated every second of every aspect of it.

Anyway, staying indoors alone in my bedroom, in my thoughts, consuming media, working out in the home gym utilizing the equipment I invested in during my phases of working, the occasional video game, making masks based off of horror movie characters (namely Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees), walking out in nature at my leisure, and falling into a blissful, 12 hour sleep listening to YT videos, free from any worry of any responsibility. Then repeat (with some minor deviations here and there at best). But mostly just relaxing and choosing to physically exert myself through exercise if and when I felt like it. This has been my blissful, flourishing existence.

It really is just the freedom of personal autonomy and the ability to leisurely CHOOSE what I want to do WHEN I want to do them, or not.

Mostly I just want to, quite literally, sit around and do nothing and be left alone by everyone and everything, and then I'm in a perpetual state of happiness, just for the simple conviction that I have little to no responsibilities before me and it is quiet. Sometimes I will stand and pace in an abandoned house near my residential vicinity, dressed as Michael Myers after midnight from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM and feel absolutely euphoric. I can't quite articulate it better than that. Even if I could, it would take too long to describe.

That is how I've always wanted to live my life and revolve as much of my time around as possible. No relationship drama, no pets, no career, no deadlines, no expansive social circle, no fancy big house with a lot of maintenance/upkeep and other superfluous attributes/empty space, no pets, no kids, no marriage.

I take great solace in my aversion to these needless responsibilities.

Materialistically speaking, I value nothing except for the basic necessities to sustain a physically healthy body and basic comforts (AC/Heating, food, roof and 4 walls, a device to access internet, bed, and E-Bike). For the most part, these commodities are the only conceivable things I would work to maintain keeping (if I had to, that is)

Did I mention that I give zero fucks about being a virgin and remaining so for the rest of my life? Because that is the case. The only reason I could ever conceivably WANT to care about that would be in another universe, where I wanted to brag about actually losing my virginity for the sake of it.

No thanks. Functionally speaking, I can handle that aspect of my physiology just fine on my own, and somehow, for the most part, feel as though I have overwritten these more primitive aspects of my psychology for the sake of living simply.

To boot, I'm perfectly happy living like a degenerate scum (according to society), jobless, and completely carefree of almost anything responsibility-wise, thus rendering myself completely undateable.

I would much prefer to sacrifice my entire "dating life" for remaining a joyful NEET and sustaining a life as close to that as possible. I absolutely do not have any desire to change any aspect of myself and my lifestyle to appease a potential partner (let alone anyone if it doesn't benefit my ultimate, aforementioned life goal), attempting to reel them in and keeping them any longer than a nano-second.

Anyway, I just wanted to ramble a bit tonight for some reason. Thanks for reading!
