the amount of forward growth you have has genetic involvement as well, let’s you say have x forward growth imprinted into your dna, if you mew you will have 2x and mouth breathe .5x

Asians don’t have a lot of genetic forward growth so they have y forward growth with x > y so even if an asian person mews they might have similar forward growth to a non mewer with just “good” forward growth genetics

Literally everyone here saying mewing works probably has had slight improvements. You're in your ego right now and you're blowing shit out of proportion. Nobody said Mewing will truly ascend you. Half of y'all don't realize you're inconsistent with mewing and not doing it right hence why I made this post. Even if it doesn't lead to slight asthetic results for some, it will still prevent your face from getting worse and strengthen your tongue and neck muscles. Also better cardio if you do a sport. You mewing copers are blowing my quality thread out of proportion cause you expect everything to ascend you. P.S. Tbh I'm pretty sure quite a few people who agree with me can afford treatment and or surgery lol. A lot of us are going through our treatments rn while also mewing correctly.

I still think forward growth is genetic/has a limit and you cant alter it with "mewing". for example sean opry never mouth breathed as a kid and has perfect development and forward growth. I mouth breathed as a kid and have the same development and forward growth/side profile as him so I dont get it. what I do have is super developed masseters at 2cm thickness on each side (double the average) which makes me believe it prevented me from being recessed.

also if I had more lower maxilla forward growth I would legit look like a dog.
