For LL, does less length added mean quicker/less painful recovery?

For example:

If you add 2 inches of height (to only the tibia), would the recovery be quicker/less painful than say 4 inches?

My little brother his 9 he went from 5ft6-7ft6

I imagine that would be the case since it would make sense logically.

Airforces add like 1.5 in? That’s REALLY low do you even notice difference? I’ll add a pic to show u what’s 1.5in, literally half a finger

My shoes + insoles add 3.5in
