For those of you with proper occlusion

Do your molars on top overlap your molars on the bottom (top molars are in a wider position) or sit right on top of each other?
Is your upper dental arch wider than your lower arch?
I got palate expansion and my upper arch went from being narrower to being approx even with bottom
I'm starting ortho work and will also get a lefort to bring upper jaw forward so it will get wider relative to the bottom as it is brought forward but I still get the sense that my upper arch should already be wider post expansion.
The expansion device became looser after a month and I contacted my surgeon about it and he said it isn't an issue unless it gets more loose
At the time this made sense to me because he made it seem that the device had to retract in order for it to relapse but now I am thinking that the reduced pressure may have caused a degree of unnecessary relapse.
By the time I had my next visit the device was even more loose (which I didn't realize) and he tightened it but he didn't say anything about potential relapse even though much less of the device is now visible compared to when it was first installed which leads me to believe it retracted

I have proper occlusion but only because I got a double jaw surgery.

According to an orthodontist that I went to, my dental arch is incredible and might be wider than my lower but I'm not sure on that. Top molars sorta sit on top of the bottom molars. Nothing is definitive nor can I even say if this is true or not because most orthodontists are utterly bluepilled cucks that will gladly ruin your facial harmony for slight functionality (if it even functions )
