My doctor put me on Accutane very early, at age 14, and I'm pretty sure It stunted my growth because I stopped growing after.
I did have an extremely early puberty though, and my parents aren't that tall so I'm not 100% sure.

But as for long-term side effects, I developed occasional cracking in my joints and semi-permanent dry lips, but the dry lips went away after a while.

My sister got permanent dry eyes from it though.

I believe tretinoin is superior though, it's Accutane without the sides essentially.

been taking tret for a bit maybe my dose is too low? I mean so far its working slowly I will give it 3 months. I've had acne treatments that worked in the past but the issue is if I have 2 bad weeks my acne comes back.

Accutane works forever

I have taken it for 2 years and it was the best thing that happened to my skin, i never get any pimples, meanwhile my friends faces are scarred for life.
long term side affects were dry lips which are is manageable with vaseline. Other than that nothing really

I'm 19 so the damage is probably done... But yeah planning on doing I've lost hope of getting rid of it naturally

Dry lips, eyes get dry sometimes

Accutane was the biggest fail in my live, took it 8 months,it made me literally bald, Norwood 0 to 3,5-4 in one year and still balding. It also triggered autoimmune diseases. Worst crap

Yeah this drug has so many dramatic answers it feels like 4 out of 5 people love it then 1 out of 5 has some crazy reaction then 1 in 20 have some really crazy story like yours

I still have dry eyes 1-2 months after being off accutane (my eyes used to be my best PSL feature, now they are red, bags and puffy eyelids). Hopefully it goes away. Temporary side effects such as dry lips, flakey skin and nosebleeds have disappeared.

True but it doesn’t give you perfect skin

It does go away, I had the same thing.
Worst part is I took my passport photo with a buzz cut while on accutane and I literally looked like a pale skin meth addict.

Most of it went away I still have a dark outline around my eyes but it’s partially genetic since my siblings who’ve never touched accutane have worse eye bags then me.

Users here who’ve tried Vollufine claim that it improves the appearance of eye bugs and helps to partially restore melted fat pads in the under eye area.

The dry eyes will take some time to go away but should be gone for the most part by 6-8 months.

What was your accutane dose btw?

40mg per day for about 6 months. I weigh about 68kg so idk if thats considered a high dosage. It worked but yeah if I knew the dry eyes were a symptom I wouldn't have taken it.

Don’t worry they’ll go away once your oil production start recovering it’ll take a little bit of time but you’ll be fine afterwards.
I probably should’ve tried tret before accutane but there’s no point dwelling on what’s come to pass and it’s cleared up all my acne so I’m happy with the end result

I started taking Accutane at 15 and finished last october. I lost a lot of hair, pretty much went to NW3 and although most of my hair grew back I still have issues with it. The worst part is, I was on high dosage and I still get acne breakouts. I also have a lot of scars, and those mixed together is why I still wear a mask in public right now. Wish I knew about tretinoin tbh but there's probably no tret for my subhuman skin.

I did low dose tret once a week and my entire mouth area is permanently dry and red and flaky for half a year now. red spots in mouth corners. don't try tret unless you absolutely need it. can't imagine how bad actually ingesting a similar substance might be but I've heard some things
