I'll keep this short since most you guys don't like reading.

I'm 18, enrolled into my first semester of college which I am terribly failing. I'm borderline trapped in my poverty neighborhood bedroom where I've spent most of my life. I have no fuzzy memories of being out late with my friends or of a cute short lived love life. I've only been in one LTR which was the worst experience of my life. I'm not in a great position for any new positive memories or my desired ascension. I see everybody around me smiling everyday and I genuinely can't remember my last joy.

To those who may relate, or are in a much different situation while sharing a depressed sentimentality, why do you keep struggling through it all? Genuinely, I'd like to see some responses.

I do hold on to hope things make a change for the better but it is a bit disheartening when up to this point most of my peers have had a substantially more pleasant experience in living. It wouldn't bother me if we lived forever you know, but we're only here for so long and I would hate if it took more than a quarter of my life to be wasted for it to finally start feeling meaningful.

You can always make up for it in the future. I’ve wasted away my 20s, I’m still in the same phase as a recent high school graduate. My peers have gotten into relationships, married, started families, they work jobs, and I’ve done none of these things. I don’t really care though, that’s the biggest difference between us. But with age, you might stop caring too. I’m 29. I’m sure I’d not be thinking this if I was 16.

Yeah that's comforting to be honest. I probably would slip into that mindset as well if things keep going like they are, albeit probably in employment, but there's still time for me to be able to maximize those years. Although, having to soon balance a job for ascension with school
will suck. Free time is everything.

Military does not sound fun but I wish you the best.

when i was 14-18 i saw no point in life and wanted to rope many times, but i kept grinding to get into a good uni
18-19 i was awakened to how brutal this world is (from small subset of losers in hs to moneymaxxed chads in uni), was also falling behind career wise compared to all my peers

now im 20 and im making good money at my job, my trajectory basically flipped over the span of a few months

idk what kept me going, but now i keep going bc i know that hard times are only temporary

I'm currently in the same situation as you, I'm not even sure what keeps me going it's quite tiring tbh. Maybe one day it'll get better? Maybe it won't? Who knows

Well I guess the only thing that keeps me going is escapism. I sort of live my life under delusion imaging myself with the things I wish I had. I honestly believe I'm on the border of suffering mental delusions. I'm 4'9 25 a kiss less Virgin unemployed suffering from anxiety and I nearly died two months ago from starvation and anemia. I guess my only advice is just believe that things will get better.

Yeah. It's not worth it to kill yourself but it's also not a great feeling thinking about how much better everything could be.

Same to be honest. I spend a lot of time fantasizing about a version of me that's everything I wish I was. A lot.

Can relate a lot as well, there's a perfect version of me in my head where I literally live out scenarios in my head while my real life is so dull

I guess you could say im kinda determined

Find something you want to achieve and work towards it. Surgeries, wealth, or generally feeling proud of yourself? Whatever it may be start working towards it. Alot of people can't live without a purpose, find yours.

roping might be worse
