My upper third is larger than ideal (like 37%+ of my facial thirds) and I have some pretty mild hair thinning. Because I have a deep bite my lower third is lacking in height meaning while the thirds aren't ideal themselves, my actual total face shape right now is fine. However because I want to fix my deep bite then it would increase my total facial height and the longer face would be more noticeable. For that reason I am considering options to lower my hairline.
I'm mostly considering hair transplants as it is less invasive and also could correct minor temporal loss. Some people mention that you can't (or shouldn't) transplant hair over the forehead muscles because it looks unnatural, however I have about a centimeter below my current hairline that does not move when I make facial expressions, so I think I have a decent margin for transplant area if that is the choice (I would likely do 8-10mm below my current hairline).
Is there any major benefit of doing forehead reduction surgery over hair transplants in my case?
