Intro
If your side profile looks "off",neck looks short, jawline hidden, or head juts forward, you're probably dealing with Forward Head Posture (FHP). It's one of the most common posture flaws ruining aesthetics in men today. The good news? It’s fixable. And the gains are huge.

What Is Forward Head Posture (FHP)?

FHP is when your head protrudes in front of your shoulders, rather than being stacked vertically over them. It’s caused by:

Excess phone/PC use

Weak neck and upper back muscles

Tight chest and shoulder muscles

Backpack(for young cells)

Side effects include:

Weak side profile

"Turtle neck" look

Rounded shoulders

Reduced height

Why You Should Care

Jawline visibility:
Poor head posture hides your mandible. Fixing it can make your jawline pop more.

Neck length: Proper posture makes your neck look longer and cleaner.

Height illusion: Standing tall with a stacked neck can make you look 1-2cm taller.

How to Diagnose It

Stand sideways in front of a mirror and check if:

Your ears are in front of your shoulders

Your chin juts out

You feel tension in your neck, traps, or upper back

You can also do the wall test:

1. Stand with your back flat against a wall

2. If your head can’t touch the wall without tilting, you have FHP

(I found wall test much more effective)

Daily Routine

1. Mobility

Chest Stretch (doorway stretch): 3x30s

Sternocleidomastoid (SCM) Massage: 2 min per side

Suboccipital release (tennis ball under skull): 2–3 min

2. Strengthening

Chin Tucks: 3x10 (hold each for 5s)

Wall Angels: 3x10

Neck Flexion/Extension/Side Flexion (with hand resistance): 3x10 each side

3. Posture Habits

Brugger’s Relief Position: Every hour if you sit long

Set phone/monitor at eye level

Practice “tall posture” when walking, ears, shoulders, hips aligned

Advanced Tools

Neck harness (weighted) for strengthening

Posture corrector brace (temporary cue,not a crutch)

CPPS (Cervical Posture Protocol System) routines

Timeframe: When to Expect Results

2–4 weeks: Noticeable side profile improvements

6–8 weeks: Solid muscular adaptation

3+ months: Long-term correction, new baseline posture
