I notice this with coffee after 2nd tablespoon. 1 tablespoon increases energy, over 1 gives exhaustion.

I would say that it is an adaptation, or perhaps the state with an energy drink begins to be considered normal, which is why you don’t feel that you become much more energetic after it.
