If you're below 6 foot having a wide frame with big shoulders would make you look short and ogre if you do roids. If you're average or below average height in US look at the mirror and now imagine if you had a wide frame, you would look like this:

Only Chads need a big frame to compensate their long bodies, also having longer legs than torso is important if you have a wide frame or you'll look weird.
