Has anyone figured out a way to temporarily suppress IGF-1 levels to make blood test results appear significantly lower than they actually are? I have a blood test next week that my dermatologist ordered — an ANA test — and I’m planning to request a full hormone panel as well, mainly to try and get a GH (growth hormone) prescription. It’s provided by a government facility, so it’s extremely cheap per unit, and I have connections through relatives who work there. I can probably make it happen — the only obstacle is getting a prescription backed by lab results that show I actually need it.
From what I understand, random GH levels aren’t reliable since GH is secreted in pulses. IGF-1 is the main marker they go off because it reflects GH activity over time. So if I want this to work, I need to find a way to suppress my IGF-1 levels temporarily before the test.
In short: would staying awake for a couple if days prior help lower IGF-1 levels enough to qualify for a prescription? Are there other ways to reduce IGF-1 short-term for the test? Buying GH online isn’t an option since I’m still dependent on my parents, and this route is safer and cheaper since I’ll be getting follow-ups and not fuck up my hormones on my own.
