I got interested if I could get my insurance to cover a surgery like lefort I or a double jaw surgery...
Since it would would fix a lot of my aesthetic issues like my zero incisor show, long philtrum, elongated midface, underbite dominance, flat smile, and weak under-eye support.
Because I'm not paying 16k for some ultra invasive surgery...
ā
So I provided Chat GPT with pics of my side profile/front profile/¾ Profile, a lot of teeth bite pics.
Fast Forward it asking me questions about my symptoms, problems, insurance, country.
This is what it came up with:
MY CASE
3 years of braces ā bite still not corrected.
Underbite / anterior crossbite: lowers in front of uppers, right side touches first.
Zero incisor show at rest or smile ā flat/dull smile, long philtrum look, elongated midface.
Functional issues:
Chewing mostly with molars, front teeth useless for cutting food.
Occasional jaw clicking/fatigue.
Night mouth-breathing ā dry mouth on waking.
People say I mumble.
INSURANCE
Failed orthodontics = braces couldnāt fix it ā skeletal issue.
Documented malocclusion (crossbite, negative ANB).
Functional impairments (chewing, speech, airway, TMJ).
ā This makes me a textbook case for DĆ“vera to cover double jaw surgery (LeFort I + BSSO).
Please tell me what do you think about this, if you know someone who has had a insurance covered Lefort I or double jaw surgery please tag them
