My favourite authors wrote in those languages and every time I try translating I feel such force in their words it makes me jealous. Although Spanish has insane works too which I think are beautiful but in other way. It's like comparing phenomenology of the spirit with El Quijote. You could've never wrote each other in the others language and that's cool too

I wouldn't say harsh like German is with tbe volume and sharp endings. Just very commanding with the strong consonants and the way you have to pronounce a lot of the words makes you sort of speak deeper than you would in other languages.

Plato is very cool I used to have a gf who studied translating ancient Greek so I had time to enjoy it. It's also not super difficult to read.

From Homer I have only read the Iliad but it's definitely one of my favorites although I have only read it/know about it in Spanish but I have an old translation so it's pretty cool
