It's a Friday night. You're rotting in your bedroom, and the noise of people talking, traffic, music can be heard loud & clear from all directions.
The countdown begins, 10 to 1, fireworks echo throughout the city. It's a new year. Maybe this year will be the time you finally ascend, start maxxing out, gather social status. Or maybe you'll just repeat the cycle like you've done many times before and rot on New Years again.
