Frauding hairline with with fringe works in photos but it's risky cause slightly off angle and hair or wind and you will look like a clown.
David Laid in new video looks bad trying to pull it off. Make sure to keep the hair that's covering temple area shorter and maybe use product so it doesn't fall down.

I have similar hair to David, so most likely had this happen to me multiple times actually my temples are probably worse recessed than his jfl
For those of us with fine hair type fibers I think even using transplants it will be hard to get the necessary density to truly fix hairline.
Only choices might be get on oral minox and pray you're a hyper responder or focus grafts on restoring temple points and use hair system for hairline.

I think his hairline/temples have been receding and thinning, or he just got bad style done and needs to fix it. The longer sides with gap exposing temple area looks bad.
