Front teeth gap

Is it bad to try and close a front teeth gap if you have one? I have a small front teeth gap and my dentist said the last thing she'd do before I have my braces removed would be closing that gap.

Couldn't that make my palate smaller though? Lots of celebrities like Schwarzenegger and Mercury had gaps like those which they never treated for some reason, I've heard it's natural to have a small gap in between your front teeth so idk if that's very good.

Anyone know about this?

Bro its such a minimum gap but I'm scared of it changing my face or something, I have a gap between my canine and incisor too and my face looks like it's grown inwards on that side

Dang, I mean it's not as big as those, kinda like the first guy but a bit smaller gap. Idk how I even look without braces tho tbh.
