Fuck overbite/deepbite

I have mild mix of both of these I guess and it fucks up my appeal/side profile when I clench my teeth. But fuckass dentist I went said my teeths are normal and my parents dont gaf about it since its not severe. Idgaf about their opinion since im over 18(19 yrs) but getting braces are hella expensive and im broke asf. What do you think an orthodontist and braces will do? Magically give you a lower third? The only way to reliably move the mandible is through jaw surgery. Contact maxillofacial specialists

My jaw looks normal when im jutting(putting the lower teeth to natural position not sticking it out like underbite) braces should fix this issue

Braces will not help unfortunately.

You needed a growth modification appliance/block when you were younger.

Well if you have both you have combined malocclusion which can be fixed by running braces for 12-18 months to align the teeth properly fixing the dental issue. Then you can do orthodontics to move your lower jaw forward/align the upper jaw fixing your skeletal issue.

I wouldn’t say that. Can you measure the overbite? If it’s large enough it’s usually deemed medically necessary for corrective surgery as it causes major issues with time.

Bite into a napkin with upper and lower teeth and measure the gap.

braces do not move forward your jaw they just realign your teeth within the dental arch
