In a nutshell, this was just another piece of legislation restricting the rights of property owners, telling them what they can and can't do with their own shit, under the guise of "protecting" tenants.
A little backstory on ideology.
Since 1971 (Divorce Reform Act 1969), we've had no-fault divorce in the UK. Sure, it came with extra criteria, but it existed.
By 2022 (Dissolution and Separation Act 2020), no-fault divorce was made absolute, with no administrative hurdles.
Hmm. Interesting.
So, if you want to break a traditional marriage contract, one proven to benefit society by numerous metrics, you don't need a reason.
But if you want control over the use of your own property, say, evicting a tenant for no reason, nope. Big brother says that's not allowed.
Could this perhaps have anything to do with the fact that deeply ideologically driven, left-leaning campaign coalitions (RRC), unions (ACORN, LRU, Generation Rent), and think tanks (The New Economics Foundation) battled for 10+ years advocating for faggot liberal principles that damage society?
They don't care about "rights". They value only one thing: power.
